Hello. My name is Yuri and you have come to my website dedicated to mountain biking in Austria, bike tours, my favorite mountain biking spots in the Vienna area and surrounding areas.

If you are reading this, it means that I have common interests with you and I would be glad to see you on my free bike tours or as a special guest on personal bike tours.

I am 44 years old and for about 25 years I have been interested in various areas of cycling and everything connected with it. Creation and management of a bicycle shop, studying and practical bicycle mechanics, creating a specialized travel agency for mountain bike fans like me and many others. Well, I’m also a bit of a musician, a volunteer and a traveler.

My project Austria Trails was created so that I can share my joy of the coolest mountain bike trails with you. I do not consider this project as commercial and its main purpose is free tours for mountain bike enthusiasts in Vienna, Mödling and other interesting parts of Austria.

What to expect from my free mountain biking tours with me?

Free tours can last from 2 to 4 hours depending on the location, weather and the wishes of the participants.

I love mountain biking in all its forms. Therefore, you will find long climbs, long flat sections and technical descents. The main issue is speed. I’m not young anymore, so I try to keep my speed moderate on the climbs, but I like to speed up on the descents.

What kind of bikes do I like? After trying every possible mountain bike format for 20 years I settled on a trail lightweight hardtail and ride it all over my local spots.

Given the fairly friendly mountains in Lower Austria, this type of bike is in most cases suitable for all local trails.
